Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data is processed when you use cleverquestlab.com, why it is processed, who receives it and what rights you have.
Effective date: 24 September 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection is Simpli, a private individual in Slovakia, who runs the website cleverquestlab.com (“Clever Quest Lab”, “we”, “us”).

2. Summary
- You can use the whole website without registration. There are no user accounts and no forms, and we do not ask for your name or e-mail address.
- The website itself does not set any cookies of its own.
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the website and provides us with cookieless, aggregated visitor statistics.
- The website uses or may use ads from Google AdSense. Google may use cookies for advertising. In the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google uses advertising cookies and shows personalised ads only with your consent.
- Some tools save your settings or unfinished text only in your own browser. These data are not sent to us.
- If you e-mail us, we use your message only to reply to you.
- You are not required to give us any personal data. Writing to us is voluntary.
3. Hosting and security (Cloudflare)
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Whenever you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data that every website receives: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address of the requested page and HTTP headers such as the browser type (user agent), preferred language and the page you came from (referrer).
Cloudflare processes these data to deliver the website to you and to protect it against attacks and misuse (for example, overloading attacks). We do not keep our own server access logs, and we do not use these data to identify visitors. More information: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
4. Website statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To find out how many people visit the website and which pages they view, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com sends technical information about your page visit to Cloudflare. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage, does not create a profile of you and does not track you across websites. We only see aggregated statistics, such as the number of page views, the most visited pages, referring websites, countries, browser and device types and page loading speed.
You can object to this processing at any time (see Your rights), or simply block the script with a content blocker in your browser.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
This website uses or may use Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and Switzerland, Google LLC in other regions), to show ads on some of its pages.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this website and/or other websites on the Internet.
- Ads may also be served by other advertising vendors and networks (third parties) that work with Google. They may also use cookies and similar technologies.
How to opt out of personalised advertising:
- Google: Ads Settings (also available at www.google.com/settings/ads).
- Other vendors: www.aboutads.info/choices and, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- On this website: the Privacy and cookie settings button below.
More about how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy. Google processes these data as an independent controller under its own terms.
Consent in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
If you visit the website from the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your choices about advertising cookies and personalised ads are collected by Google's consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform that uses the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework). Google and its partners use cookies for advertising and show personalised ads only if you consent. If you do not consent, Google may show non-personalised or limited ads, which are based on the content of the page and your approximate location (for example, your city) rather than on your browsing history. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — see Cookies and your privacy settings.
Ads on the school pages
Ads on the school pages (/skola), which are intended for school students, are marked as directed at children or teenagers. On these pages Google does not show personalised ads and restricts sensitive ad categories.
6. Cookies and your privacy settings
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels.
- Our own cookies: the website itself does not set any cookies of its own.
- Cloudflare: Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. In exceptional situations, for example when Cloudflare shows a security check, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
- Google advertising: on pages with ads, Google and its partners may store and read cookies and similar technologies for the purposes described in Advertising — in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland only with your consent. Google's consent message stores your choice in your browser so that it does not have to ask you again on every page. More: How Google uses cookies.
You can review, change or withdraw your consent at any time:
The privacy and cookie settings are not available on this page right now. This usually means that the website does not currently use any cookies that require your consent (for example, because ads are not active yet or no consent message applies in your region), or that the settings tool has been blocked by your browser or an extension. You can always delete cookies and other site data for cleverquestlab.com in your browser settings.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the website will keep working, but your privacy choices may be asked for again.
7. Data stored only in your browser
Some tools remember your settings or unfinished text directly in your browser (local storage). For example, the Voice Dictation tool remembers the selected language and other settings, as well as the dictated text, so that they are still there when you come back. These data stay on your device, are not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them. You can delete them at any time by clearing the site data for cleverquestlab.com in your browser.
8. Voice dictation tool
The Voice Dictation tool uses the speech recognition built into your web browser. Your browser asks for permission to use the microphone before dictation starts. Depending on the browser, the recording of your voice may be sent to the browser's provider for processing — for example to Google in Chrome or to Microsoft in Edge — under that provider's own privacy terms. Clever Quest Lab does not receive or store your audio or the recognised text. Please do not dictate sensitive information.
9. When you e-mail us
If you write to contact@cleverquestlab.com, we process your e-mail address, the content of your message and any other data you choose to include, only to handle your request and reply to you. Messages sent to this address are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox provided by Google (Gmail). We keep the correspondence only as long as it is needed to handle your request and any follow-up questions, unless the law requires us to keep it longer or we need it to establish or defend legal claims.
10. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Delivering the website and protecting it against attacks and misuse | IP address, request details, HTTP headers | Legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Aggregated, cookieless visitor statistics | Technical data about page visits | Legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and improving it — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Advertising cookies and personalised ads (EEA, UK, Switzerland) | Cookie identifiers, information about visited pages, approximate location | Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a); you can withdraw it at any time |
| Replying to your e-mail | E-mail address, content of your message | Legitimate interest in answering your message — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Handling requests to exercise your privacy rights | E-mail address, content of your request | Compliance with a legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c) |
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects for you.
11. Recipients and transfers outside the EEA
Your data may be received by:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — hosting, security, website statistics and forwarding of e-mails;
- Google (Google Ireland Limited, Google LLC) — advertising, the consent message and the mailbox where e-mails are delivered;
- advertising partners of Google — only on pages with ads and, in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, only with your consent;
- the provider of your browser's speech recognition — only if you use the voice dictation tool;
- public authorities — only if the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data for money. (Under some US state laws, however, allowing advertising partners to collect data through cookies for targeted advertising may count as a “sale” or “sharing” — see US state privacy rights.)
Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States and in other countries outside the EEA. Transfers to the United States are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. are certified. Other transfers are based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or other safeguards provided by these companies.
12. How long data is kept
- Technical data processed by Cloudflare: only as long as Cloudflare needs them to deliver and protect the website, according to its own policies. We do not keep our own access logs.
- Website statistics: we only see aggregated statistics that do not identify you.
- Advertising cookies and your consent choice: stored in your browser for the period set by Google; you can delete them at any time in your browser.
- Local storage of the tools: until you delete it in your browser.
- E-mails: as described in When you e-mail us.
13. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
- have your data erased (Art. 17);
- restrict processing (Art. 18);
- data portability (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21);
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal (Art. 7(3)) — use the Privacy and cookie settings button.
To exercise your rights, write to contact@cleverquestlab.com. We will respond within the time limits set by the GDPR. We may ask for additional information if it is needed to confirm your identity. Because the website has no user accounts, we usually cannot link website data to a particular person. For data that Google processes for advertising, you can also use Google's own tools, such as Ads Settings.
14. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that your personal data is being processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Slovakia, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), dataprotection.gov.sk. You can also contact the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.
15. Children
The school section of the website is intended for school students, including children and teenagers. Using it requires no registration, and we do not ask for any personal data. Ads on the school pages are marked as directed at children or teenagers, so Google does not show personalised ads there (see Ads on the school pages). The English tools, games and slides are intended for a general audience.
If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before you agree to advertising cookies or write to us. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
16. US state privacy rights
If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law — for example California (California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, CCPA/CPRA) — you have rights regarding your personal information.
- What may be collected: on pages with ads, cookies and similar technologies used by Google and its partners may collect identifiers (such as cookie IDs), internet activity (such as the pages you visit) and approximate location derived from your IP address. Under these laws, this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted (cross-context behavioural) advertising.
- Opting out: when ads are active, visitors from the relevant US states see a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link provided by Google's privacy message on the website, which lets you opt out. You can also opt out of personalised ads through Google Ads Settings and www.aboutads.info/choices.
- Other rights: you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it by writing to contact@cleverquestlab.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy — for example, when we add new features or services or when the law changes. The current version is always available on this page, and the date at the top shows when it takes effect. This version is effective from 24 September 2026.
